When school starts in the fall, the pool hours will be adjusted and posted on the website.
Saturday/Sunday hours will remain the same.
The pool will open the end of May of each year. For 2021, opening day will be Friday, May
28th. It will close in September (last day being Labor Day). The Board may choose
differing opening and closing days.
The pool will be closed at the discretion of the Pool Management at any time pool
conditions, weather, or emergency may dictate. The Pool Manager will use his/her
judgement in returning guest fees should weather become inclement.
● Admission to Pool: All members who are in good standing will be admitted upon
checking in. A file of members and their standing will be maintained at the pool
office for identification purposes.
Guests
● Full members are permitted to bring local residents as their guests. Members
wishing to exercise local guest privileges will be charged $5.00 per guest. These
fees apply to ALL guests entering the facility (including those not swimming). If a
member brings a guest, the member must register the guest at the office each day
and remain on the pool premises as long as the guest stays.
● Out of town house guests are not subject to the visit charge or visit maximum. An
out of town guest is defined as living outside a 30 mile radius or who is an
overnight guest at the member’s home.
● Babysitters who are not members may accompany a member’s child into the pool
area (no charge) after signing in. Babysitters are subject to all pool rules and may
be asked to leave if noncompliant. If repeated, the sponsoring member will need to
make other sitting arrangements. A grandparent will be classified as a ‘babysitter’.
Swimming and Diving Team Practice and Meets
Pool time for team practices is set aside weekday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
during the season. On days Camelot hosts meets, the pool will close at 5:00 pm. A notice
will be posted on Facebook and a reminder will be displayed on the website.
Inclement Weather
Should inclement weather occur during pool operations, the pool will be shut down and
swimming discontinued until the weather improves and the pool is reopened by the pool
manager on duty. The pool will remain closed 15 to 30 minutes after the last occurrence
of lightning depending on conditions as judged by the pool manager on duty. If there are
any questions about whether the pool should be closed, the operation manager should
be notified. The pool manager or any board member are the only individuals authorized
to close the pool for weather (see Pool Operating Hours).
Security/Key Distribution
The pool manager is provided a key to the pool facility. The pool manager will open the
facility each operating day (during swim/dive team practice a swim/dive coach may open
the facility) assume that any area on the premises which is potentially hazardous is
secured by lock and key and check each of these areas before the facility is closed.
In addition, a set of keys is provided to each member of the Board.
Work Parties
Work parties are organized by the facility manager and are normally conducted in the
month of April. All Camelot members are encouraged to participate in these activities.
Tasks to be performed are determined by the facility manager and will be based on
inspections and include normal pre-opening activities. A $50 will be reimbursed for a 4
hour work from your membership fee.
Miscellaneous Policies
● Public Address Music: Reasonable volume control is expected by the pool staff at
all times. Volume will be low enough so as not to disrupt normal conversation
anywhere in the pool area. Any reasonable request by a pool participant to reduce
the volume OR appropriate music selection will be honored.
● Rest Breaks: 10 minute breaks will occur hourly. Those under the age of 16 will be
asked to leave the pool. Adults are allowed to stay in the pool.
