Rules and Regulations
The following rules and regulations for the operation of YOUR pool have been made for your comfort and safety. Please read them carefully and comply. Parents are requested to caution their children and guests to observe all rules and regulations and to obey the instructions of the Pool Management. For the purpose of these rules, an adult is a person eighteen (18) years of age or older.
GENERAL:
No person is allowed in the pool unless a lifeguard is on duty. The lifeguard is in full charge of bathing and has the authority to enforce all rules of safety and sanitation. No unauthorized person is allowed in the pool enclosure when the pool is not in operation. A ten (10) minute rest break will be observed each hour for persons under sixteen (16) years of age. The pool will be closed at the discretion of the Pool Management at any time pool conditions, weather, or emergency may dictate. The Pool Manager will use his/her judgment in returning guest fees should weather become inclement. (If a guest pays and shortly thereafter it storms and the pool closes, it would be appropriate to make a refund.)
- NO GUM IS ALLOWED WITHIN THE POOL AREA
- SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON CRA PROPERTY.
- THE POOL LIMIT IS 80 SWIMMERS.
GUESTS:
Full Members are permitted to bring local residents as their guest. Members wishing to exercise local guest privileges will be charged $3.00 per guest. There will be a maximum of one (1) visit per guest per week. If a member brings a guest, the member must register the guest at the office each day and remain on the club premises as long as the guest stays. Out-of-town houseguests are not subject to the visit charge or visit maximum.
BABY SITTERS:
Baby Sitters who are not members may accompany a member child into the pool area after signing in.
SAFETY:
- NO TALKING TO LIFEGUARDS WHO ARE ON THE STAND.
- If you have any questions, direct them to a lifeguard not on the stand or to the Pool Management.
- Food or drink in designated areas only. No food beyond the white line.
- NO GLASS containers on premises.
- No alcoholic beverages on premises during normal operation hours.
- No running, pushing, wrestling, unnecessary noise (loud music, shouting, etc.) or causing disturbance will be permitted in the pool confines.
- No street clothes or shoes in pool area.
- Games, tubes or other water play equipment used only with permission of the Management and when properly supervised.
- No flips off the side of the pool.
- No standing in the blue tiled gutter of the pool.
- No fins on the pool deck.
PLEASE REPORT ALL INJURIES TO THE MANAGER ON DUTY.
CHILDREN:
- Children five (5) through nine (9) years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person twelve (12) years of age or older.
- Children four (4) and under must have a parent or responsible person fourteen (14) years of age or older in the pool area. These children must be under the direct supervision of the parent or the responsible person.
- Children are not allowed to play in front of the office or parking lot.
WADING POOL REGULATIONS:
The wading pool will be open for use at all times when the general pool area is open. Use of the wading pool is restricted to children six (6) and under. These children must be under the direct supervision of the parent or a responsible person within the wading pool fenced-in area.
DIVING REGULATIONS:
- Only 1 person at a time on the diving board.
- Only ONE BOUNCE will be allowed on the diving board. This includes all diving practices and meets.
- Do not sit or idle on the diving board.
- Do not dive until previous diver is out of diving area.
- Do not dive with flippers, mask, tubes, balls, etc.
- No diving toward side of pool.
- Pool Manager may curtail diving to allow for deep-water swimming.
SANITATION:
- Shower before entering pool.
- Spitting, spouting water, blowing nose or chewing gum is strictly prohibited in the pool.
- No bandages or Band-Aids are to be worn in pool.
- Persons with contagious or infectious health conditions such as colds, ear fungi, skin diseases or open lesions are not permitted in pool.
- No pets allowed on premises.
- Parents are URGED to encourage children to use the toilet facilities before entering the pool, and whenever necessary thereafter.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cost of any property damage will be charged to the responsible member.
- The CAMELOT RECREATION ASSOCIATION, INC., assumes no liability for loss or damage of personal assets or objects brought within the pool area.
- The CAMELOT RECREATION ASSOCIATION, INC., assumes no liability for accident or injury of its members or their guests. Members and their guests swim at their own risk.
- Members should take a personal interest in the pool and help keep the grounds in shape by using the facilities as intended. Use the waste receptacles and do not deface or destroy the ASSOCIATION property.
